EnglewoodReview, WENG Present Check to Kiwanis

September 27, 2007—Division 18 South of the Kiwanis Club received a check from the Englewood Review and Radio Station WENG today.  Pat Newton, who with her husband Tom, publishes the Englewood Review, and Ken Birdsong, Station General Manager of WENG, presented the check to Carl Gerace, the Lieutenant Governor of Division 18 of Kiwanis.  The check was the proceeds from the 4th annual 2nd Chance Prom, which was co-sponsored by the Englewood Review and WENG.  The prom was held at the Englewood Elks Lodge on July 21st.  The Kiwanis will meet in the next couple of weeks to determine where the monies will be sent.  Kiwanis donates to several local organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA, and the Homeless Coalition.
